Sandstone Paving

Sandstone is a classic sedimentary rock that forms from the cementing together of sand sized grains forming a solid rock. It is a very stable product and one of the best suited natural stones for use on patios, paths and driveways.

Indian sandstone paving slabs have a natural riven surface, creating an extremely hard wearing and durable natural paving stone. Each piece is individual, so the effect is totally random and non-replicated, adding to the overall beauty of the product. Indian sandstone paving slabs are perfect for both traditional and contemporary designs, they can be laid internally and externally enabling a natural transition from home to garden. (We also stock the raj green interior sandstone flooring and have some laid on our showroom floor for you to see)

Suited to the British climate, natural sandstone paving slabs are frost resistant. They will weather to give a natural appearance enhancing your patio, path or driveway.

We stock a range of different colours at extremely competitive prices:
Raj Green, as its name suggests, has a subtle green colour to its appearance. This colour has a good resemblance to original Yorkshire Stone and is widely used with traditional properties. Being a natural product, the colours do vary but include a gentle blend of greens, browns, greys and smokey purples, blending well with stone built properties.

Mint Fossil paving is an attractive, buff coloured sandstone with fabulous variations in tone from piece to piece. It often has stones which have a fossil like pattern on them, and can make a stunning effect if placed in a prominent position.

Kandla Grey paving is an even, smokey-blue, grey colour, which looks fabulous in contemporary situations. There is little variation between stones so is ideal for those who want a less random colour variation.
Rippon paving has beautiful variations in colour. It is generally a buff background with striking veining in a multitude of colours. Ideal for making a statement.

Sandstone Cobbles/Setts

Cobbles or ‘setts’ can offer an attractive and durable surface for driveways and can also complement areas of paving. They can be used to edge circles, patios, flower beds and are very useful for awkward spaces.

These setts are hand finished into two single sizes:
100mm x 100mm and 200mm x 100mm both with a depth of 40-60mm.
We stock them in the Raj Green, Kandla Grey and Black Limestone colours, but other colours can be ordered.

We can also supply you with hand cut sandstone steps, and sandstone spheres to add that finishing touch to your garden.

Limestone Paving
Natural Limestone is a highly durable quarried stone with a softer riven appearance than sandstone. All stones are hand cut which gives a naturally gentle edge to enhance this premium paving. The predominantly level surface of Natural Limestone makes it ideal for paving dining areas.

Our Limestone Paving is an extremely attractive product. Its finish is akin to 'orange peel' and is far less riven than its sandstone equivalent. It is available in striking Black. It looks fabulous when wetted, as the colour deepens and glistens in the sunlight. When dry it is a similar colour to slate, but it does not get slippery like slate. There is a minimal colour variation between each stone giving a harmonious and seamless appearance

 

Granite Paving
Granite is the ideal material for contemporary garden designs. Its surface is flamed to produce a durable pavestone with a good ‘grip’ which is essential when used for paving.We stock the 600mm x 600mm size, but other sizes can be ordered.

To compliment this paving, granite cobbles/setts and spheres are also available.
