Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club Ltd, just a few miles from Exeter is located in over 550 acres of Devon’s most idyllic countryside.
Nigel and Rosanne Mansell have owned Woodbury Park since 1994 when it was just a golf course and a 60 x 20 foot portakabin. Since then they have transformed Woodbury Park into a very special place providing the ultimate standards in accommodation and food with world class golf, leisure, banqueting and conference facilities. A place where the seamless service of staff blends with the renowned warmth and hospitality of the West Country.
Woodbury Park has been awarded 4* by the RAC, it boasts 56 luxurious and spacious en suite bedrooms and suites as well as individual Swiss-style wooden lodges that offer additional privacy and are ideal for families with small children or adults wishing to get away from it all. Tastefully designed to the very highest standards, all the bedrooms and suites have telephones, radio and satellite television, providing the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Many have balconies, with sweeping views across the surrounding lush rolling countryside of the Exe Valley. With wonderful staff and 24-hour room service a guest’s every whim is catered for. Disabled and family rooms are also available. |

The golf courses have been vastly improved since Mr Mansell bought Woodbury Park with the installation of over 500 miles of new drains and several sessions of over-seeding to improve the quality of the grass. All this hard work has produced spectacular end results. The 18-par 73 golf course, The Oaks, has been transformed into one of England’s premier courses. It is set in tree and lake studded parkland with rolling fairways and immaculately manicured greens. The nine-hole Acorns course is perfect for the less experienced golfer but offers a realistic challenge for all. There is also an 18-bay driving range and a wonderful short game practice area where guests can brush up on their driving and chipping skills. The clubhouse is no longer the Portakabin of 1994, but part of an outstanding modern complex with a well-stocked pro shop, a wooden-beamed traditional bar The Conservatory Restaurant, which has spectacular views over the lake on the 18th hole. |

Rather uniquely it also boasts a full sized premier standard football pitch regularly used (along with all the other facilities) by premiership teams who wish to train, or relax in peace. |
