Lying on the Edge of Dartmoor National Park in the heart of the South Hams, Ivybridge and South Brent are both very popular locations being surrounded by, beautiful countryside, picturesque villages and the open expanses of Dartmoor. Both are within very easy reach of some of Devon's finest beaches.

Being situated close to the A38 also means that they both provide the ideal location for those who wish to commute to either Plymouth or Exeter. There are good links to the surrounding areas and towns via the local bus and rail links.

Ivybridge has a community of approximately 11,000 and benefits from its many useful facilities. Its attractive town centre still retains a lot of its original character, with an old pedestrianised high street and a new under-cover shopping centre built in the River Erme. The town is also home to the South Dartmoor Leisure Centre which provides ample sports facilities for all. There is a selection of good primary schools and a community college which offers both secondary and adult education courses.

South Brent enjoys a friendly semi-rural community spirit with the advantage of having its own local primary school, health clinic and dentist all within easy reach.
