Over many years, carpet weaving has developed as a versatile, proven method of producing carpet, giving both performance and variety of patterns, styles and colourations.
Axminster Carpets- traditional carpets of many colours. Axminster is the weaving method which can produce highly patterned cut-pile carpets of many colours.

Tufted Carpets - creativity and versatility all in one.
Tufted carpets offer versatility in terms of colour, pattern and texture. To make tufted carpets, tufts are individually inserted into a woven or non-woven backing using a needling technique.
The backing is coated with a latex compound to anchor the tufts. A secondary backing is almost always needed on tufted carpets to add dimensional stability and mechanical strength.
Patterning attachments give a variety of textures and patterns.
Bonded and Knitted Carpets - plainly beautiful and hard-wearing carpets available throughout Somerset and the local area.
Nylon Carpets: This is the most popular synthetic carpet fiber used today.
Nylon offers tremendous value, performance, & ease of maintenance. Nylon provides brilliant colours and hides soil and traffic well.
Soft Carpet Fibres: Some fibre manufacturers are producing fibres that feel as soft as cotton yet will outperform many other conventional carpet fibres.
The difference is the nylon filaments are really much finer than the typical filaments but twice as much fibres are packed into the strands of yarn.
This gives these carpets its softness and strength. |

Olefin: This fibre is also called polypropylene. Olefin is extremely popular in Berbers, level loops carpets and outdoor turf products.
Olefin carpets are highly stain, static, mold, and mildew resistant. They can be used for indoor or outdoor carpets. Olefin's resistance to matting and crushing is not quite as good as a nylon.
Polyester: Gives excellent colour clarity with a soft feel to the carpet. The drawback with using Polyester carpets in your Somerset home is that it lacks the durability of a nylon carpet.
Acrylic: This type of carpet has a real wool look and appearance. Used mainly in level loops, bath mats, and some velvet carpet styles.
Acylic carpets
offer good mold and mildew resistance with low static levels.
Wool: Although somewhat expensive, wool still offers great bulk, performance and an elegant look. Wool is not stain resistant and can smell when it gets wet.
Overall, as you can see there are many carpet flooring options available.
