| In Luxembourg 1767, the Boch brothers opened their first ceramics factory. The "brindille" pattern was one of the first designs to be painted on their porcelain. The outstanding quality of the products manufactured by the Bochs was soon described as being 'in the Luxembourg style". This tradition inspired the name Old Luxembourg. |
