Timberwise use the lowest toxicity (safest) of chemical to kill the insect in all its stages (egg, larva, pupa and beetle). Heartwood and hardwood are more difficult for chemicals to penetrate than sapwood and softwood but appropriate specifications will be used. Heavily infested timbers will probably need replacing by our craftmen joiners.
