Exeter kitchen and bedroom design specialists Bradbury's, provide information on modern kitchen and bedroom styles and designs.
Back to Nature
If you’re searching for a new kitchen or bedroom this summer, you’re sure to have noticed a trend for warm wood grains and earthy tones.
Certainly that’s been in evidence at Bradbury’s, Devon’s most exclusive kitchen and bedroom showroom where discerning customers are seeking subtle, back to nature designs.
Andy Bradbury explains, “We are seeing a very sophisticated palette of colours and grains running throughout the home this year, with a fantastic range of wood grains, rich chocolate browns and whites. These are accentuated by refreshing splashes of colour, both on the walls and through the choice of accessories.”
Bradbury’s designers have seen plenty of interest in kitchens such as the high gloss ALNOLUX in metallic graphite combined with white Corian worktops or the striking ALNOART WOODGLASS in olive or palisander.
More adventurous customers are adding wilder tones to create something extra special with ALNO’s funky new storage shelves, which come in a variety of colours including lime, blackberry and papaya. Andy says, “ALNO is renowned for its novel storage ideas, and this year is no exception, with eye-catching shelving systems and unusual wall units to add extra space in smaller kitchens and de-clutter worksurfaces.”
In the bedroom, Hülsta’s Lilac range offers high gloss surfaces with a distinctive reflective effect that mixes beautifully with its walnut, glass and leather finishes. Again, homeowners can choose from understated creams and browns to injections of acid green and ruby red.
Bradbury’s designers are creating stunning visual interest, as well as practical, classic rooms with Hülsta’s Elumo range, which offers high quality white lacquered surfaces with fine, walnut surfaces for a radiant, calming appeal.
Hülsta’s sleek lines and high levels of craftsmanship can now be extended to the living and dining room thanks to Bradbury’s, Andy explains, “These ranges have proved very popular with our customers because they really stand out from the crowd. Hülsta offers [that something different] other furniture companies in the UK fail to provide.” |

The company also coordinates the entire project, “Our best work has been where we have taken care of everything for the customer, from the kitchen design and appliances to the worktops and flooring. We have preferred electricians, plumbers, decorators and installers who have worked with us for years and, apart from being very good at what they do; rave about the products we sell. Our project management expertise provides a great comfort to customers who are often uncertain how to deal with all the various trades involved in a complex installation” explains Andy.
